BIOGRAPHY AND EXPERIENCE

Dr. Philip A. Pappas is the program director of The Abington Stress
Management Center and The Abington ADD Program. He is a Temple University
graduate with a Masters and Doctorate in Nutrition, and has worked for
several pharmaceutical companies including Mallinkcrodt and Bristol Myers
Squibb. Dr. Pappas is also trained in psychotherapy, biofeedback,
neurofeedback, and provides service for conditions including ADD/ADHD,
stress induced illness, weight management, IBS, insomnia, and migraine. He
was formerly the chief operating officer of Abington Behavioral Medicine
Associates, a mental health clinic at Abington Memorial Hospital. Dr.
Pappas is an instructor in the Allied Health Program at Bucks County
Community College.

Dr. Pappas developed Nutritional Health Associates, a nutrition consulting
service used by many Delaware Valley physicians. He is on the medical
advisory boards of Life Mission International (co-chair), Nutrition and
Kids, and Unither Pharma. In 2000, he was appointed director of The
Institute of Weight Management and Health. Dr. Pappas completed a
successful non-drug treatment study on Irritable Bowel Syndrome in 1999. In
recognition of his work in Irritable Bowel Syndrome, he has been invited to
write articles for many publications including The International Foundation
for Gastrointestinal Diseases (IFFGD). He wrote the book "Irritable Bowel
Syndrome- Managing the Problem."

He has an active speaking schedule on the topics of wellness, weight
management, stress reduction, ADD/ADHD, and irritable bowel syndrome, and
has been a frequent guest on many Philadelphia area radio talk shows
including the Dr. James A. Corea Show, WWDB Philadelphia. His own show,
"The Mind Body Health Connection" is heard on WNPV 1440 AM, every Friday at
11:10 AM. In 2003, Dr. Pappas was invited to appear in a PBS television
educational special hosted by Morley Safer.

Dr. Pappas is a life long Bucks County, Pennsylvania resident and lives with
his family in Buckingham, PA.
