Joanne Kegolovits, RN MSN CRNP 2321
Broad Street 215-997-3600 Voice Mail Line: 215-997-3607 Voice Mail Extension: 420
I am a registered nurse, certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Psychiatry by the American Nurse’s Association since 1984. Additional education at the University of Binghamton in the field of family medicine led to certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1995. As a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Pennsylvania (CRNP), I have the legal authority to diagnose and treat the patients I see. This includes ordering diagnostic tests, requesting consultation with other health care providers and the prescription of most medications. As required by PA law I have a collaborative agreement with Dr.Shanken, the medical director at Introspect, which allows for timely consultation and supervision. I bring many years of experience to my present position, along with experience in a variety of health care settings such as: in-patient units, out-patient and emergency rooms services, in addition to educational settings. My treatment philosophy is one of partnering with my patient, to work together to find medication that may be helpful to treat symptoms of anxiety, panic attacks, obsessions and compulsions, depression, mood swings, and memory problems. I encourage patients to learn as much as they can about both their diagnose and medication. I also support a holistic approach and integrate health teaching regarding the effect of diet and exercise on most mental health problems.
